The Queer Queens of Qomedy, now in its third year, is an all lesbian comedy revue. Poppy Champlin, the Blisteringly Funny veteran comic, who created and produces this show, is a hot new comic on the Olivia cruises. On August 1st, Poppy and two others from her royal court will entertain at the Birchmere Music Hall. The first Queen is an icon in the lesbian community; activist/comedian Karen Williams, who can soon be seen starring in her own LOGO comedy hour. And, a favorite on the Olivia cruises, if you’ve never seen her - get there! The second Queen coming to the Birchmere is Detroit native, Mimi Gonzalez a proud Latina comic, who this year bravely entertained the troops in Afghanistan and Baghdad. Her television credits include "Ellen," "Women Aloud," and the "Latino Laugh Festival." So, if you want to spend the night laughing, come spend the night with the Queer Queens of Qomedy.

Queer Queens of Qomedy
August 22nd at Steel Blue

The Queer Queens of Qomedy are coming to Steel Blue on August 22nd.
After a successful run in North Carolina last year the comedy troupe is returning for an encore performance. Poppy Champlin one of Olivia’s newly favored comedy performers and leader of this all lesbian review will bring a new troupe to Steel Blue this year.
This show proves to be a hot and sexy rendition of the Queens.
Sandra Valls, who was a hit with the Queer Queens in Dallas Texas, was recently showcased on Showtime’s Latina Divas of Comedy. She is featured in the latest edition of One Night Stand Up on the LOGO network. Hold onto your seat belts for this very high energy, sexually charged, hot blooded, lesbian comedian. The next and youngest comic to join the queer queens is Bridget McManus. She was recently nominated for the “Brink of Fame: Comic” NewNowNext Award on the LOGO network. Her weekly comedy vlog, Brunch with Bridget, also garnered a Logo NewNowNext Award (“Best Lesbian Vlog Ever”) nomination, and can be seen on Afterellen.com.
Look for her this summer in the Universal feature Wanted, and in the comedy documentary, Laughing Matters: The Next Generation.

Sept. 11th-14th

The Queer Queens of Qomedy
are going to Dayton Ohio.
Yes, Poppy Champlin will take the most tried and true Queer Queens to Wiley’s Comedy Club in Dayton Ohio for a four day run. First she is tapping Michele Balan, a big talent and recent finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, an Olivia favorite and soon to be appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Michele is one of the fastest and funniest comics working. From New York, Michele is always bringing it old school. The next Queen to come to court is one of the hardest working and sought after lesbian comics out there: Vickie Shaw. Vickie has a one hour special on LOGO as well as a special on comedy central. This show should bring the gals out from Toledo to Cinnci to Columbus. This Trio is one of the strongest combinations to come to together. This is a threesome not to be missed by gay or straight comedy fans alike.
